Offered here is a dividing head that came from a #2 kearney & trecker horizontal milling machine. The serial number of the head is 23/3254. Although i do not see the k&t name on the head (it may be painted over), the serial number is a k&t format. I believe that the head is a k&t brand. The chuck measures 8″ diameter, and as closely as i can measure the distance from the base to the center of the chuck measures 5″. The head has been used and then placed on a shelf in storage for a while. It could use a clean-polish-lubrication and appears to be in generally good condition. It’s a great machine with very little backlash. Recently the anilam cnc (1400 series) controller started reporting a fault and our conclusion is there is a break in one of the wires in the wiring harness. It still works great as a manual milling machine. A patient person might be able to track down the broken wire or upgrade the controller (the motors and encoders are solid). It’s at grade-level by our rollup door so it’s easy to get with the forklift (which you’ll need to bring or rent from down the street).
