This is a Clausing model 8540 Horizontal Milling Machine in Outstanding condition. It is wired for 110v. It has power feed on the table and everything functions correctly. Spindle taper is NMTB 30. The main variable speed drive belt is new. The clock spring for the variable speed is new. Both of the hydraulic cylinders have been rebuilt with new seals and the hydraulic hose replaced. Comes with the outboard arbor support and 3 horizontal arbors. 7/8″, 1″ and 1-1/4 with extra shims. All in New Condition. 3/4″ holder for endmills and a 3/4″ arbor for small shell mills. One shop made 1/2 end mill tool holder. Included are 4 table / knee locks. One Operators/ parts manual. This is probably the nicest Clausing Horizontal Mill you are going to find anywhere. Bridgeport M Head from a milling machine. This sale is for the head only, The’swivel’ or’knuckle’ is not included. Like in the last photo with all the’black’ on it. Quill is 7 B&S Brown and Sharpe. US Motor, 220 volt, ½ HP, 3-phase. SN 519610, 1200 rpm I ran this motor off a rotary phase converter and not a static phase converter. A little damage to the casting where the oilier screws in. This does not in any way impact the operation, but I want to provide full disclosure to all known flaws. Comes with the following items. Collet set (All of them are 7 B&S taper). 3/8 Cant read anything on it but looks like Bridgeport brand. I have no idea why a 21/64. 7/16 Unknown modern brand (probably Chinese). A ½ shank is tight, and a 31/64″ drill is a little loose – I think it is 1/2″ Bridgeport brand… But I cannot be certain. Jacobs brand drill chuck arbor 7 B&S to 3JT (Jacobs Taper). Jacobs brand drill chuck arbor 7 B&S to 6 JT (Jacobs Taper).
