For sale is a rare Cataract Hardinge Benchtop Horizontal Mill. This is a beautifully made machine from the 1920s – or earlier. H as the later style box section column, micrometer XYZ handwheels, quick release tapered spindle nose. Nice shape, and everything operates smoothly. A few small milling cuts in the table. Comes with a 3-jaw Union chuck, draw bar, one collet (3/8″), four endmill holders (1/4″ – 1/2), and a wrench for the headstock bolts. Also has a few t-nuts and two Jacobs chucks, one on a long shank and the other on a short shank. Also included is a motor drive mount that will require some setup by the new owner. These machines use the 7 inch lathe headstocks, so it is easy to replace the current 3C head with a 4C or 5C head. Hardinge also made a 3C vertical head. For sale is a complete set of Brown and Sharp change gears for a dividing head. They are in excellent condition, and come in the original wooden box. Hand Powered Metal Planer. I cant find any markings on it So I don’t know who made it. I started cleaning it up and was told to try and save the original paint. That’s when I stopped and it’s just in the way now. The little vice did not come with it. I took lots of pictures when I took it apart and cleaned it up. The legs are 25″ x 13-1/2″ and it’s 27-1/2 high not including the screw. The table is about 23″ x 8″ The threads are American. If anyone recognizes this or knows who may have made it please let me know. (I kinda want to keep it but need the room).
