This is a Southwestern Industries CNC Vertical Machining Center with an 8 tool automatic tool changer. The Machine uses BT30 toolholders and this unit comes with a tooling cart and 59 toolholders. It also comes with a pallet jack to move it around. We bought this machine new in 2015, mainly to make small, end of arm, gripper tooling. The machine is under power and can be inspected if you are in the Kansas City area. Comes with operating manual, Kurt Vise, 2 tooling plates and the above mentioned tooling cart. The mill itself weighs 2,825 pounds. Size is 36″ W x 64″ L x 94 H. If you can get to the Kansas City area, we will load you out for free. Would prefer to be paid by check or wire transfer.

CWT INDUSTRIES MULTI-BALANCE 5500. This machine is in perfect working condition. We have had four of these machines in the past and find them to be far superior to the Hines Balance machines in every way, especially speed and automation. These machines were put in service on March 3, 2022. Heavy Metal Vector Forecasting (HMVF) remains standard on the Multi-Bal 5500. A feature that assists the technician in not only achieving balance to tolerance from left to right on whatever work is being spun, but also allows any residual imbalance (any imbalance left beyond the set tolerance parameter) on the ends of the work to be placed 180 degrees out of phase so that cancellation of any residual excitation may occur. Put another way, HMFV forecasting allows the technician to address not only where to add or remove weight to combat an imbalance, but it also allows the tech to address the position (or phasing) of that imbalance. Also remaining standard is Precision Drill Qualifying (PDQ) which allows the technician to use the computer-driven predictive modeling software to forecast the repair in terms of location, depth, and diameter (or amount and location of material that must be added) before drilling (or addition of material) occurs. This allows the technician to assess how much labor will be required and how much cost the customer will incur BEFORE the work is done to the unit. CWT continues to build this unit on the industry- leading 68 capable chassis which weights between 4100 and 4350 pounds. Why such a heavy chassis? Because lighter chassis can vibrate and flex, introducing errors into the balancing process.
