Here is a Sherline Model 5410 Deluxe Milling Machine in Metric configuration. All Axes move smoothly with minimal backlash. This is the deluxe machine with manual powered handwheels. The motor functions smoothly at all rpms. The anodizing of the table shows a bit of wear, but much fading. Pretty sure this mill is not setup to enable CNC stepper mounts. Can’t find the original instruction book. Sherline has an extensive free download area for instructions to all their machines and accessories. Nice working Atlas MFC horizontal milling machine. It’s circa 1957/1958. It’s in excellent running condition and good cosmetic condition. Includes a 1″ arbor, draw bar, 3/8″, 1/2″ and 5/8″ end mill holders, cutters and slitting saws. The arbor and draw bar are shop made. The arbor is concentric to within. The horizontal front brace is 6061-T651 aluminum and is also shop made. There is one broken handle on the X axis. The X, Y and Z axis are smooth and free. There are no known issues with this machine. I have used it regularly in my own shop. Not enough room for a Bridgeport, vertical mill or knee mill? This machine will fit in any basement shop and is remarkably rigid and accurate. It’s a lot of fun on small projects. Note: If you are an Atlas purest, this is not the machine for you. There are several parts that are shop-made. But if you want a nice, reliable machine to add to your shop with very little effort, this is a perfect machine for you. Weight is about 275 lbs.
