This is a like-new GG3 that I received brand new from Defense Distributed just last week. I used it to finish up two projects (shown in the photos) that were left unfinished after my GG2 finally died only after me and my friends and family traded it around for years machining out countless personal-use projects, we finally wore it out! It is pristine, barely used, and as explained below, comes with many extras. It is a significant improvement over the GG2. It is more rigid and you can even machine steel (see the AK 80% lowers on the DD site). It has interior lighting. The updated software is improved in many ways as well with better explanatory diagrams and improved/clarified text. The improved software, updated cutting files, and improved design make it about twice as fast as the GG2. Like most things, each generation of product is an improvement over the older version. That is very true here. The updated software (included on the USB drive) makes it very easy to follow along and perform each step in the process. I note that work piece set up is everything. Take your time and do it right, double check each step or you run the risk of ending up with an out of spec result. Ask me how I know! You will make mistakes from time to time and turn out a piece of crap but most of the time, the process works flawlessly. Just being honest here. I will be glad to give you pointers after the sale if needed, have used these machines for years. I found that setting it on four squares of foam rubber (see the photos) helped reduce the noise and vibration going into the floor. It is a noisy process and you will annoy others in the house. Just so you know. The foam helps though. I kept the tools/setup items that came with the GG3 new in box, I used all my old stuff from my GG2 to finish up my two projects and left this all new. I only used the included USB for a couple minutes to add the latest software to my computer so I could finish up the last couple projects. Again, all the goodies from the GG2 years are included as a bonus-see the photos. I have included all the parts, tools and jigs I had from the GG2 period. The white jigs are for AR-10 and the black are for AR-15. I have included TWO sets of 1911 jigs. I had problems a couple years ago with my old GG2 and the aluminum jig (grey) causing probe fail due to its conducting electricity during the probe test process. So I got the updated kit – The Delrin jig (black) solved that problem as Delrin is inherently an electrical insulator. Much of these parts/drills/mills are new and unused. Note: The helicoil on the Delrin jig is starting to come out so be gentle with it and/or screw it back in.
