I had intended to change it back to a manual mill and then sell the CNC components as I know very little about operation of CNC machinery. Let alone the software and hardware side. And before learning that the exorbitant prices of Jet OEM parts would make it cost prohibitive to convert back to manual. The machine appears to have been well maintained. I put a 110 plug to test out the motor. It looked to have to been hard wired, possibly to 220. It is very quiet and all the belts are in good shape. The X and Y axis have what appear to be some nice adjustable double ball nuts that have zero backlash when turned by hand. And the Z axis has a gas shock maintaining downward pressure also leaving zero backlash. The table has one spot were it looks like someone walked away from the machine while it was running, otherwise in good condition. I do not know what kind of software is needed to run this machine. The machine did not and does not come with a computer or data cables. Hopefully the photo of the “Geckodrive” cards can give some insight into what software is compatible for this machine.
