Kearney trecker milling machine 2b universal
Kearney trecker milling machine. I believe it is from 1924, and was told it went to a submarine at first but I have not confirmed this. The previous owner used the machine for making parts for a shop in three rivers and the machine was set up for a single operation. I brought it home, disassembled the knee, made new bronze lead screw nuts for the X & Y travel. Cleaned all gear boxes of sludge. Striped machine of rust and grime. It has had it’s X travel taper gib adjusted. I have replaced most bolts with socket caps, and most tapered pins. Machine ways look great. Is currently under power. Over arm supports move as they should and the machine has power to all three axis. The table is able to swivel and still has x axis power travel. Included will be my collection of horizontal mill cutters and oiler caps for the various oiler holes on the machine. In pursuit of one dream I must let another go. Willing to load on a trailer via my gantry crane, or deliver via car carry trailer. Cutters are new or reground.
