Both the dividing head and chuck are silky smooth. The threads on the buck chuck are 1 3/4 – 8 tpi. Please notice that this dividing head also has a plate behind the chuck mount that allows it to easily lock into repeatable positions without using the dividing plate feature. As a bonus, you will also be getting an interchangeable secondary 360 degree base, thus allowing very intricate gear cutting and machining. And of course, there is a center dog included with this dividing head.
