Bridgeport Series II Special. Year of Manufacture: 2001. This machine is in very good used condition. What we have done to it is as follows. The 58 inch table was removed, reground flat, respotted. A new table gib was fabricated and fit to the new ground table and saddle. A new electric automatic lube pump was installed. All chips were removed under the table and in the saddle. New X and Y lead screws were installed and the back lash was adjusted to approximately. The 2j varispeed head was checked out on our test stand. New bearings were installed on the R8 spindle. The R8 spindle was reground to new specifications. A new varispeed belt was installed. A new upper clutch assembly was installed in the varispeed head and the head is now in excellent running condition. The machine and head were repainted. Table travel (X-Axis) manual. Table travel (X-Axis) power. 11 x 58 in. (279 x 1473 mm). 2 HP (1.5 Kw). 3 HP (2.2 Kw). 7 x 10 ft (2.1 x 3.1 m).
