Bridgeport 9 X 42 J-Head Milling Machine 1-1/2 HP with Powerfeed

You are considering a Bridgeport, J-Head Milling Machine. This machine is used, but seems to be in good overall condition. We have “test run” the machine here to the best of our ability under “no-load” conditions. We are not machinist, but the mill seems to run out fine. This machine had set unused for an unknown amount of time. We acquired it from a large manufacturing facility that had shut down a few years ago. Judging by the amount of dust, grim and mild surface rust on it when we got it, it hadn’t been used in years. Everything was “stiff” when we first started testing and cleaning it, but it loosened up quickly. It may still need some adjustment and cleaning to get it in tip top shape. We did not receive any tooling with this machine. It does have a drawbar and one R8 collet with it. It is missing the small handwheel that mounts of the front of the head for fine adjusting the quill up and down. This seems to be a commonly misplaced or unused handwheel. Nearly every mill we bring in is missing it. Voltage: 230/460V 3 Phase (currently wired for 230V). Variable Speed: Yes, Step Pulley Type. Table Size: 9″ X 42″. Power-feed on table: Yes. On X-Axis (left right). Power Down-feed on the Quill: Yes. Includes: Knee Handle, Drawbar and Qty 1 R8 Collet (No other tooling included).
