Includes the following items. Sherline 5400 milling machine with 13 table. 3/8 end mill holder and tommy bars. 1/8″, 3/16″ and 1/4 collets and drawbolt. Boring head with 2 boring tools. 1-1/4 headstock spacer block. Manual handwheels and z-axis leadscrew (not needed for cnc use). Assorted machine screws and t-nuts. Wobbler (edge/center tool) with 3 tips. Xylotex xs-3525/8s-3 3-axis controller board. 3 – powermax ii 1.8 degree (116 oz-in) stepper motors. 24vdc 8.5a power supply (115/230 vac). Motor cables with plugs. Patch box (for connecting parallel cable through computer). The home machinist’s handbook. In addition to what is included, all you should need to get up and running is a computer with a parallel port, and cnc software. I used ubuntu linux and emc cnc software, which are free and open source. You will also need some sort of enclosure for the controller board and power supply. This system was running fine when i last used it several years ago – i never set it up after we moved to a new home. The one upgrade i was thinking about (aside from a fourth axis) was a more powerful stepper motor for the z-axis.
