Nice working Atlas MFC horizontal milling machine. It’s circa 1957/1958. It’s in excellent running condition and good cosmetic condition. Includes a 1″ arbor, draw bar, 3/8″, 1/2″ and 5/8″ end mill holders, cutters and slitting saws. The arbor and draw bar are shop made. The arbor is concentric to within. The horizontal front brace is 6061-T651 aluminum and is also shop made. There is one broken handle on the X axis. The X, Y and Z axis are smooth and free. There are no known issues with this machine. I have used it regularly in my own shop. Not enough room for a Bridgeport, vertical mill or knee mill? This machine will fit in any basement shop and is remarkably rigid and accurate. It’s a lot of fun on small projects. Note: If you are an Atlas purest, this is not the machine for you. There are several parts that are shop-made. But if you want a nice, reliable machine to add to your shop with very little effort, this is a perfect machine for you. Weight is about 275 lbs. Atlas MF horizontal milling machine. Condition is used restored. This mill looks great runs smooth and quiet very clean. 3/4 hp motor 115/230 volt wired for 115v 1725rpm.. Some tooling included 2 vices, drawbar, (original) support arm.. The one on machine was added for length, extra milling arbor, one on machine works fine. The other one is original but the nut is missing on end of arbor.. Few cutters that may or may not fit the arbors. Small lathe chuck 2 dia. 2 whalstorm chucks 3/8 Capacity one works one doesn’t Could be fixed. I have the side belt gaurd but cant figure out how it’s supposed to mount. The bump stop studs are missing that mount on front of the table that bumps the switch to disengage the powerfeed.. But can easily be engaged/disengage manually They could be made. Original Atlas Milling Machine MFB with original gearbox and working power feed. Has original Atlas base stand as well. Will need some cleaning, adjusting, old belts need replacing, power toggle switch is sticky but works. Newer motor works well. Back gear works, with original chrome back gear handle intact. Comes with pictured vise assembly and original arbor assembly included. Has optional belt and motor guards. Chrome on wheel handles is in decent shape. Great candidate for restoration or clean up and use as is, should give many more years of faithful service. Wooden dollies that the machine is resting upon are not included in this sale.
