This uses a single indicator, but the indicator face is free to rotate 360 degrees, while the tramming tool is swept, this way you can always see the face. You can angle it at any angle to get a good look at it and preserve steady parallax on the gauge face, allowing for consistent readings. The bearing arrangement to make this work is where the magic happens. Well worth the engineering (albeit simple) needed to make it all cook!
