CINCINNATI #3 VERTICAL MILLING MACHINE. WE HAVE USED THIS MACHINE (AND CONTINUE TO USE IT), SO IF YOU STOP IN TO SEE IT, DON’T BE SURPRISED IF IT HAS CHIPS ALL OVER IT AGAIN: THE ONLY THING THAT IS NOT WORKING ON THE MACHINE IS THE POWER FEED IN THE Y-AXIS (THE MANUAL HANDLE FEEDS THE TABLE AS IT SHOULD). CINCY MANUFACTURED A “SHEER COUPLING” IN THE KNEE TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE DRIVE-TRAIN IN THE EVEN THAT THE MACHINE WAS BOUND UP ON SOMETHING. THIS COUPLING FUNCTIONED AS IT SHOULD AT SOME POINT IN THE MACHINE’S LIFE, AND SHEARED. I HAVE A FRIEND WHO HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, AND TURNED A NEW COUPLING AND PUT IT IN THE KNEE IN HIS OWN MILL. WE PRIMARILY USE THE MACHINE TO DO LONG BAR WORK, AND POWER FEED IN THE X-DIRECTION, SO IT HAS NEVER BEEN A PROBLEM FOR US TO NOT HAVE POWER “Y”. ALL THE RAPIDS, ETC WORK AS THEY SHOULD, AS WELL AS THE COOLANT PUMP. VERY VERYYYYY SOLID MACHINE. COMES WITH A BUNCH OF #50 TAPER TOOLING. 18- 1,300 RPM. Dimensions (L x W x H). 94″ x 80″ x 87.
