There is no Atlas marking on it but the other one is listed as an Atlas so I believe this one is also. The Dividing Head Index tool is custom made by a professional Machinist which is actually very top quality made and perhaps even nicer then factory made ones. Obviously he made it custom for the Atlas Mill! It is in super nice shape and will be wonderful for your mill. The base of the dividing head is 3-1/2” x 3-1/2” and it is 4” tall. The spindle was removed and sent to wells Index and had the bearings inspected and was re ground to R8. The head was taken apart and removed the grease some put in it. (it should have oil not grease). All the parts and gears look amazing, I have pictures. The oil seal was replaced for the power down feed. And it can be done without taking the machine apart. Here is a nice. Dividing / Indexing Head with a tail stock and 2 dividing plates. The head accepts #4 morse taper chuck or center. The thread OD for mounting a jaw chuck is 2.675 x 5 TPI. The dividing plates are 7-1/2 dia. The height of the centers are 5-1/8. The center on the tail stock has some damage (see last pic). The head weighs 85 lbs and the tail stock weighs 24lbs. The base of the head is 6-1/4″ x 8″. It stands 8-1/2 tall from the base to to the top of the body. This is also listed for sale locally so the listing could end at any time.
