Thinking of adding a CNC control to your Taig or Sherline mill. With most systems you need to use a desk top computer with a parallel interface card. Your laptop will not do the job. After this, you will need some sort of CAM software to convert your design into “G” code that will operate the CNC controller. All this can be expensive and hard to learn. This controller uses the usb port of any computer, even your laptop. The controller comes with software that lets you design your part and then operates the machine directly from your design. All this, gets you started a lot easier than most other systems. The controller comes with x, y, z stepper motors and cables. Mount the motors, and install the limit switches. The system has only about 15 hours of actual run time on it. Nothing is damaged or worn out. Lightly used and well cared for Taig Mini CNC Mill. Backlash within specifications of a new mill. Includes Upgraded 1HP DC motor with speed control. Combined with the original step pulley, this system allows the operator to select any RPM up to 10,000. Custom tachometer gives real time RPM readout. 1 HP motor will not bog down within the cutting limits of the mill. Controller is wired for 4 axis (A control). 4th axis rotary is in excellent condition. Milling table is in very good condition. Two defects are shown in close-up photos.
